Reclaiming is by far the trickiest element to incorporate into our artwork. However there are instances of reclaiming in the desert often found in unsuspecting places. The animals in the desert often use elements of death to protect themselves from the same fate. For example, we often take photos of rodents or birds making a larger animals skull their home or nesting area. We believe that birds hatching their young in an old skull to be one of the more fantastic sites of reclaiming you can find in the desert. In addition, we find reclaiming in plants as well, often picking to grow out of an animal skeleton allowing it to protect itself from the harsh elements of the desert that the deceased animal was not able to survive.
